Currently we are experiencing a Mercury Rx in Capricorn and a Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces. Sun square Neptune started yesterday, but energies are still very relevant today. These transits combined create murky water that is hard to see through. Energies right now are too ambiguous to extract anything precise or certain. Mercury Rx in Capricorn (ends Feb 7) is all about reviewing and re-evaluating our systems, the way we strategize, our relationships to our voice of inner wisdom, our goals and aims, how we endure during hard times and our relationship to solitude. Sun square Neptune is a tense aspect where the clarity of the Sun is lost in the haze of Neptune. During this time, we may feel especially confused, energetically porous and sensitive. You are more likely to fall victim to deception, becoming enchanted with the appearance of something rather than discerning the reality. Especially be wary of spiritual bypassing or woo woo folly. Careful with substances during this time.
In the Two of Scythes or Two of Swords Ben is depicted, the human vessel for Glorificus, the Big Bad, of Buffy Season 5. Unlike the traditional Rider Waite Smith illustration Ben is not blindfolded and his swords are the Slayer Scythe. This card is indicating that now is not the time to move forward in action (if you have the liberty). Circumstances are too confusing and uncertain. Likely, you feel this and are hesitating. Despite this confusion, your power is always within your own grasp and even though you’re confused you can still discern what is the most skillful next step. You may feel torn between choices or internally conflicted with self. Ben is a doctor who takes great care to be supportive of his patients, he is empathetic and gentle. Glorificus is a Hell God from a Hell dimension who thrives on causing chaos, violence and discord. Ben saves lives. Glory ends them. Ben is at war with himself, unable to live with the damage he and Glory have caused.
Obviously, you are not a doctor sharing a body with a serial killing Hell God, but this metaphor maybe relevant to you. If you are feeling conflicted with yourself, maybe you want two seemingly oppositional things at once or maybe you feel frustrated with certain conflictual personality traits step back and give yourself grace. We are all to some extent conflicted internally and we all carry paradoxes. This could be an opportunity to practice acceptance and self-love. Either way, this Rx gives you plenty of time to contemplate and sit with anything opaque or with your inner conflicts.
